People throughout history have long conjectured what in fact Jesus looked like. We do know he was Jewish and from the Mediterranean. Often portrayed with a beard and longer hair, there are drawings on the cavern walls in the catacombs of Rome drawn within 100 years of his crucifixion. I have attempted to portray these differing perceptions with 12 representing the twelve apostles.

“Who do you say that I am?”
This phrase is a question Jesus asked his disciples. The question and Peter’s response “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” is significant because Jesus confirms that this knowledge was revealed to Peter by God the Father, not by human understanding. This emphasizes the spiritual nature of faith and the role of divine revelation.
